The Blurb- (1)

The 13th book of the series…

It is the most powerful redemption book that I have ever read that Ms. Grant have written. After Phelan and Aisley’s story, I thought that was the best redemption..since Aisley was a focal point, then it was Dale. But I was wrong.

The King of Silvers, Ulrik, topped all of them.

It was a heartbreaking journey. From book one, up to this book. The tears I have shed each time his past was shown with the previous books, I wanted to get the the whole story…however, reading parts of it, and reading the whole thing from his POV hurts more.

The emotions, both past, present, and the future are combined to in this book. It is hard to form words when you can feel the tears falling down on your cheeks. There is too much emotions in the book that you would like to be in it, just to ease the pain of the people I am reading.

A book like no other, Ulrik’s story takes us in a whirlwind of emotions. Each page is full of doubt, betrayal, revenge, a thirst of power…but most importantly, it teaches us that love does heal. All you have to do is accept, to forgive, and to realize that each person has a different way to protect the people around them.

Brava, Ms. Grant! This is one amazing book, and I cannot wait to read the others.

I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review.

After a long while I have finally finished this book. It took time, but i enjoyed reading this book.

Bearing His Name

Has this quality that you would like to be mad at the same time cry because of the events. Still it was a good way to follow after “Bearing His Sin”.

Owned by the Lion

Will make you say “I told you so…” and then some. The story was simple, the ending was so satisfying. I am actually looking forward to the next story of this anthology.

No Need Fur Love

I love the writer, but somehow, I feel something missing in this story. It was too fast and, there were parts that I long for something more. I would leave you guys to judge this one.

Over all, it was a book worth reading. Each story continues the previous one, with out really being disconnected to it. The charm is there.

Guardian of Darkness (Darkness, #7)

37648035He saw her die in a vision…

Before five years ago, Gabriel had never met Vega, but he knows how she’s going to die. He knows he’ll be involved… unless he can make sure they never meet, never cross paths, so that his vision will never come true. So he left his pack behind, joined the Stavros pack and was determined to never let that future play out. To never meet her at all. Fate had other plans—and she walked right into his life when he least expected it. For the last five years he’s avoided Vega whenever possible even while trying to keep an eye on her. But when she gets cagey with her pack and disappears, he has no choice but to follow her. Now, circumstances are forcing them to work together and he’s determined to protect her against any threat. If that means dying for her, he’s more than willing to. But she doesn’t want his protection. If anything, she’s determined to prove she’s stronger than everyone thinks.

She’s writing her own future…

Vega isn’t the same moody teenager who came to live with the Stavros pack all those years ago. With college behind her, she’s been recruited by a division of the government’s supernatural Black Ops. Trained and more than ready for her first mission, she doesn’t expect Gabriel to crash her assignment. To save her cover, they pretend to be a couple. But soon lines are blurred and neither can deny the incendiary attraction between them. As they race to stop a man who wants to sell out their people to the highest bidder, they find themselves fighting for a future together. With time running out, she has no choice but to rely on the irresistible male who’s turned her world upside down. Unfortunately, in order to save the woman he loves, Gabriel has to give her up.

The Blurb- (1)

This was one book that I was not expecting to happen. However, it does not mean that I was not happy about it…I am amaze how this turned out.

Vega, the daughter of a very powerful alpha, and a vampire that hold equal power. If you read the series, you will know how she came about. I love her since she was introduce. She was the one thing that made Lyra go back to Finn, and it was the start of the series. Who would have thought that she will have her own HEA.

As for Gabriel, I have to go back and read the rest of the books to remember where I read him the first time. I do love him in his own book. It gave him the chance to understand who this man.

The other charterers in this book, the new ones, I am waiting if Ms, Reus will spin a story for them. Especially the older sister of the ally of the Stavros pack. I would love more stories about those Dragons. And of the other shifters in this world.

Thank you!

A Duke Like No Other (Playful Brides #9)

36048635General Mark Grimaldi is devoted to his service for the Crown, risking his life and giving up everything for his career. The political promotion he’s always wanted is now within his reach, but he needs to convince his estranged wife to return to England and play the role of happy bride in order for him to get the position.

Nicole Huntington Grimaldi has spent the past ten years in France, not having seen her husband since she left England. But now he’s on her doorstep, asking her to return with him, and Nicole sees the opportunity to get something out of this deal. So she agrees, on one condition: she wants a baby.

A Duke Like No Other is a Regency spy caper with Valerie Bowman at her best as husband and wife match wits and may just fall in love in the process.

The Blurb- (1)

I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review.

This is the 9th book in the series. And of all the books this was something that I was not expecting.

However, it did not erase the fact that is was a very touching book. They say that love has it limits. But with this book, no matter the distance, the reason, and the circumstance, if each person truly love each other, it will not hinder true happiness.

For every page that I read, you can feel how much suffering Mark and Nicole felt, during and after they were together…I wanted to shout at Mark for his reasoning, but, how can I? As for Nicole, I admire her. I truly admire such a woman, and the pain of her husband’s words wounded me too.

The twist of the book was an irony, but it turned to be a good thing too.

All in all, it reflects today’s status quo. Some may not care, but other’s do. It is up to the person on how to deal with the events happening around them.

As I close this review, I am once again awed on the writing of Ms. Valerie Bowman. The depth of the emotion her characters shows the reality of those couples that are apart not because they do not love each other, but on some reasons that they are unable to go thru.

I gave this a four star rating.
