Lethal Game (Red Stone Security, #15)

As Ms. Reus said, this is the end of her Red Stone Security series. I am sad to let this go, namely because I read the series in one week from book one till book 13. If I was not permitted to read the 13th book of the series, i would have liked, read this yet. However, I am quite proud of myself. I really enjoyed it. The characters are very much alive in each of the books. And that made it one of the best series I have read.

In this book, we are presented with Isa and Graysen’s story. Both of them were hurt by the action from their past, until they are once again brought together.

I admire Graysen. I though he was another a*** but, from the his thoughts were presented, I am surprise that he was still alive and he wanted to have a second chance with Isa. It was an underhand, way to be with her, but it worked.

The twist? that was something else too! I love this book and I am truly sad for it to end.

Justice Ascending (The Scorpius Syndrome, #3)

Justice Ascending

Justice Ascending by Rebecca Zanetti

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

~ARC provided by NetGalley.~

The 3rd book of the The Scorpius Syndrome. And its all about Tace and Sami.

I love the fight scenes between these two, I mean, it like wow. If I wanted a sparing I would like to have a Tace like opponent. Talk about smooth moves and a so interesting was to let you submit.

However, the highlight for me, would be how Tace delivered his lines during the times when he was about to go down. I mean, my oh my, those were like the most melting moments and I would love to read them again and again. As I read the book, I could clearly imagine what was happening as they face each obstacle presented by fate.

Another factor about this book that I liked is Maureen or Moe as Greyson fondly called her. There is something brewing between the two and I would like to know more about it.

Then the tears, Oh my! it was one of those moments that I love! Let me tell you, men and tears, they are something else!

As I end my review, I am left wondering what will happen. Whatever the future holds, it will be as explosive and amazing as the others have.

Eternal Ecstasy (The Guardians of the Realms #10)

Eternal Ecstasy

Eternal Ecstasy by Setta Jay

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

~ARC provided by NetGalley.~

As the last book of the series, I would like to say thank you for Ms. Setta Jay for creating such a wonderful series. From the Ecstasy Unbound to Eternal Ecstasy, we can see how the writing and the story progress. The continuity of each book and how they are intertwined from the ending of each book to the opening of the new one.

This book how ever, encompasses what I was expecting, especially with the last part.

As I read the book, I can’t help but wonder, almost 60% of the content was full of the thoughts of each of Sirena and Hroarr’s. There was not much of the conversation lines that I loved about her. Then again, being in the brink of destruction, I could understand why it was written that way. It was a very surprising book. I never really knew that she was an offspring of that god. So it was something that I was not expecting.

What I really love about this book is how Hroarr’s lost feeling slowly came back and how he show his feeling to Sirena. I mean it was one of the most romantic things that I have read. It was amazing, and exhilarating to be in the shoes of Sirena.

Another unexpected event? The baby. ~Sorry guys, you have to read it to understand why it was like that, but it was something else.

Overall, this is one series, that i would gladly read. Namely because Hades was not a villain and he actually smiled and laugh on the last part of this book, and everything about these Guardians left a lasting impression on me.

I will look forward to reading the spin-off and your other books in the series.

Waiting For an Earl Like You (Masters of Seduction, #3)

Waiting For an Earl Like You

Waiting For an Earl Like You by Alexandra Hawkins

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

~ARC was given by the publisher.~

Finally! After reading it slowly for three weeks, I am done with it.

I actually had a hard time reading this. Mainly because it is the 3rd book of a series. Plus, the way the thoughts of the men in the book was a bit vulgar. I do love a good vulgar book, not like the one in this book. It left a sour taste in my mouth.

The story however, was simple and sweet. I love how the twins tired to prank the people around them. Since the are almost the same. The same machination brought Olivia and Thorn together. The concept is really nice, but it was really a bummer, since she was unaware who is she kissing…

It was funny and really frustrating. The twist in the story was something else too. Now, that was really unexpected.

All in all, Waiting For an Earl Like You, is somewhat likable for me. I look forward to read the next book. Will it be about Gideon? or one of Thorn’s bachelor’s friends? Or maybe Lord Marcroft?

Okay, so we have another amazing book or series.

I love this one. I mean a rock band lycan story. This is a bit a first for me. Well, Ms. Feehan’s Dark Troubadours, is a different thing. But this book is something very different.

The simple plot and the pairing was a bit of unexpected for me. Archaeologist and a Lead singer. What I can say wow! I liked how each of the side was presented. From the convo of the Lyric Hounds members, to the insane myth between werewolf twins. It was such an entertaining book, up to the action part. I wasn’t expecting that. But it was one heck of a punch!

I look forward to the next book.

I like the beginning. However, at some point, the story become too fast.

I understood the mating heat, up to the point of putting shackles, then the intense sex scene. But after that? It was like it took a 360 degree and I lost track of the plot.

How did Cade become a lone wolf? What is his story? How about Penny? Why is her alpha looking for her? The essence of the story that I was looking for was not there.

I love the ending. It was one of those lycan moments that every male lycan needs to do.

~ Even if it lack the things that I look for a PNR book, I still liked it. Wish there was enough info on the whys.

Finally! The ending of each characters have come to an end. ~ or is it?~

I love each stories.

In Dangerous Passions  I love how Trak got the most difficult time for them. I actually like the plot of Ms. Kate, because the stories so far of the other Trinity Alps pack was bit tame from the ones I am used to.However, I truly enjoyed this wonderful twist for the Alpha of her book. It was such a fitting way to end it.

Here is a sneak preview on how Trak and Chelo came to be:

She entered the cabin and waited while Trak set her clothes on a chair in the main room. Naked and wanting, transfixed by her beauty, he watched her change. She paused by the chair, glanced his way, and then focused on the floor between her front paws. Her body rippled and shimmered beneath the overhead light, flowing like molten metal. Coppery gold and rust red fur gave way to silky honey-toned skin. Her muzzle flattened, her ears lost their points, her bone structure changed, as she gracefully morphed from wolf to woman.
Her long dark hair fell loosely over one shoulder, pooling on the hardwood floor.
Her shift wasn’t as fast as his, but she was still faster than some of the guys in his pack, denoting her alpha status. Oddly, Chelo seemed totally unaware of her own power. He wondered how much she even knew about what she was. Had anyone told her anything at all?
Her shift complete, she stayed on her hands and knees for a moment, blinking into the light. He recognized that momentary disorientation when the body’s senses shifted from the ultrasensitive wolf to their more mundane human abilities. He’d worked at overcoming that, and with a bit of training he imagined Chelo would learn to work through it as seamlessly as she’d shifted her body.
He was doing his best to ignore his erection when he walked over and held out his hand. She raised her head, blinking as if coming out of a sound sleep. Then she smiled, realized what she was looking at, and her pupils flared. She took his hand and he pulled her to her feet.
She was a truly remarkable woman, her body curved in all the right places, full breasts standing proud, broad hips flaring from a narrow waist, her bottom more than a handful but perfectly formed. With her thick, dark hair falling to her waist, she was the epitome of an ancient fertility goddess, an open invitation calling for his touch.
He released her hand, crossed his traitorous arms across his chest, locked his fingers around his elbows. Literally holding himself back from touching her. “Thank you for the run tonight, Chelo.” He kept his voice level, the cadence smooth. At least his alpha strength was good for some things. Staying calm when everything told him to act was an alpha ability he’d rarely had to call on. “It’s been a long time since I’ve had the chance to shift and run for the pure joy of it.”

As for Bound to the Wolf, Phelan’s story? I can say wow! Never thought that it could be that intense and that deep. The revelation on how he got his scar and the reason behind it was just so deep. I love how Ms. Arthur  created Phelan’s mate. I did not see that coming. I was such an intense story that I hated to put it down.

I really liked how each of Blaez, betas found their mate. and what can I say, hands down!!!

However, as I read the last part of the book, there is something that bothered me…Will there be more stories from the same group of people or a plot will happen?

What ever these ladies decide, I cannot wait to read it!
