Searing Ecstasy (Guardians of the Realms #7)

If there is one thing that I like about Drake’s book is that he is one sexy and caring, and one heck of a mate. From book up to his own book, you would think of him as a very demanding male. But, he isn’t…

As the leader of the Guardians, all responsibly falls onto him. And he takes everything seriously. His frustration and his anger, for me, is certified. The most surprising of all was his gentleness and his belief for his mate. When Drake gave thing to Delia just to ease the pain, that act unwound me. Especially when he gave her a laptop…that they used only once! And man! That was one hot scene!

Delia on the other hand, I wanted to kill Cyril all over again! The way his memories were present in her point of view was horrendous, even the way the beasts inside her waged for supremacy was so intense that I felt like it was me recalling all of the memories. However, I love her strong personality…it complements Drake’s in so many levels.

I just love this book! And the best off all was Hades…man. I can imagine Hades as he looked at Sacha…I want to read book eight! Alas, Ms. Jay is in the process of making it..

But one thing is for sure it would be worth the wait!

Piercing Ecstasy (Guardians of the Realms #5)

As the 5th book in the series, the hot scene just gets hotter and hotter by the book! And dang, the story line just keeps me hooked.

I did not Jax to have his book at this early stage, but I was glad that he did have one. I love how his lines were written they were so heart warming  that there were times that I find myself crying at certain moments.

Like this one:

Ileana, had such a hard life that when Jax entered her life she did not know what to do, and it scared her. I love how Jax, did his best and I was so happy that they had such a wonderful story.

Thank you Ms. Jay for making such a wonderful book.

Tempting Ecstasy (Guardians of the Realms, #4)

All I say is…”Wow!”

I am once again rendered speechless by the level of hotness of the scenes! It is so steamy that your screen would get misty from it. Yeah, so this is not throne first time I read such a scene but…dang…

Conn is my favorite due to the fact that he is computer savvy. And i remember him hugging his laptop at the previous book, I got hooked. As I read the book, I began to love how he was presented. And man, I wish these kind of guys should be true!

As for Dacia? She rock. Why? Because she thought of the things that are happening around her. In spite of the frenzy that was happening between her and Conn, she thought of all the ramifications that it will result. And I admire her for it. I am not saying that the rest of the mates were harsh, it’s just that she and her family have lived on the Realm side of the Earth. The result? Read the book…

For Vane and Brianne…gods I hope things will be okay…

For this book, I gave it 4 stars…

Dreaming of the Wolf (Heart of the Wolf, #8)

Finally! I finished reading the 8th book of the Heart of the Wolf series by Terry Spear! Yes, it took me 8 days to read it, not because I did not like it, but i was reading another series together with it.

I used a desktop to read this series and a Kindle app for Setta Jay’s. No, its not hard for me to red two or three books at the same time, its more on how you remember the last scene you read…

I love Jake, especially now that he was able to have his own mate. Yes, he photographs flowers, but if I can really see his works, I would think of him as a gay. But Ms. Spear was able to convey his personality as an Alpha Male. And boy he was. Regardless of his hobby, I would never think the he can have such a feminine hobby, yet still be manly.

As for Alice, she was totally opposite of what Jake does for a living. A bounty hunter! Who would have thought? And she was a good one too.

The main plot and love story was really good. I love how the dream mating do its magic. And I also love how the previous people for the other book come into play. Now I am excited to read Tom’s book…

In the end, every thing was beautifully piece together. All the questions of Alice were answered and…nope, not going there. You need to read the book as to why…but let me tell you…Tom Silver’s book will be full of kids!

As for the rating…I gave 4 stars.

The Rock (Highland Guard #11)

This is one of the historical series that I follow. Why? because it’s a Scottish theme!!! and I just love reading about them! The brogue, the muscles…the attitude…they are just…magnificent!

I started reading this series around September of 2013. I got hooked on the story line. Not because of the history behind the book, but on the characters in it. Each of them were able to find the love of their lives. And the glimpse we are allowed to see per ending of the book is really something to look forward to.

However, this book, was not in the original set of characters. You have to read the whole series for you answer my question. And I assure you, he was something I wasn’t expecting…

If he’s harbored a secret hope that he could close the gap between them, he faces the cold, hard truth when Elizabeth comes to him for help. This book will be release on the 29th of December. Be sure to buy it!

I was permitted to read an ARC provided by NetGalley and Gallery, Threshold, Pocket Books. Thank you for giving me a chance!

This is really an expected book for me in the whole series. I wasn’t able to comprehend why it was written, not until I read the latter part of the book. It was like ~oh-so-that-is-the-reason~ and it made sense. Thom fits in with the rest of the Guard as if he was there from the very start of the series, It was really nicely written.

As for the love story of the book, I wanted to scream in frustration! Thom’s feeling was out in the open from the very beginning, from the end. Yes, there were moments where in his anger was justified but, who can blame him? Given the situation, I would also be in such state. On Ella’s part, i can understand where she got the sense of duty she felt. During those times, it was really frowned upon, no wonder people during those times prefer duty over love, and the mistress and the illegitimate children…

That being said, the way Ella’s reasoning really did not bode well on me. She was a bit weak for me, and I guess I did not like how she tried to rationalize with her own emotions. I love how Thom words were written, they were so heartfelt that it was impossible not to fall for such a guy. The real shocking part about this book was Bruce nephew. He was such a good man. The same with Thom ability to climb. He was awesome!

All in all, the book was nicely put together. The plot still continues to and the Epilogue was slight different from the rest of the books in the series. I can’t wait to read the last book!

Thank you, Ms. Monica McCarty!

Denying Ecstasy (Guardians of the Realms, #3)

So…this is the third book of the series; and yes, I love it! Notice that I would put up the reviews once I finish reading the books. The only reason to delay the post is that when I am too busy taking care of my kids.  But never fear, I still read between taking care of them.

A headstrong sassy mortal, Rain is a Mageia living in Tetartos, the Realm of beasts and Immortals. Her nights have been restless, filled with sensual dreams of a big blonde Guardian whose glares indicate he wants nothing to do with her. She is determined to shake off the odd feelings until she finds out her dream lover is responsible for her rescue from a demented Demi-God. In doing so, his touch ignites something rare and coveted. Something that she’s never anticipated… Something he should have told her about. Rain is set on making him explain and then feel the full force of her ire.

His years of brutal fighting in the underground Immortal rings are over. He patrols the Realms and slakes his lust with the humans on Earth. Existing, but not living as he used to. He knows the moment he scents Rain that he has found his mate and after touching her he plans to avoid her as long as he can… Until he learns she is in danger. Raging, his beast demands that he go to her, but taking her from their enemy has repercussions he fully plans to escape at all costs.

For Dorian, finding a way out of mating Rain means he could succumb to madness and harm those that mean so much to him… but giving in to his burning urge for her means losing control in a heated mating frenzy sure to ignite them both and link them forever.

Warning: brief instances of M/F/F and M/F/M menage, a hot headed, dirty talking alpha male, voyeurism and sexually explicit scenes.

As far as this series goes, I am starting to warm up with the people in the story. They are very intriguing and full of self guilt among other things that makes them more humane than the Immortals. Their grievances are just like ours but in a much more hardcore level.

Dorian, on the other had has what we call, survivors guilt. And to top it all off, his best friend was decapitated in front of him by the female he was ~you know~. His emotion was way over the top, that I find myself, wanting to bash his head because it’s getting too much for his mate. Near the middle of the book, things started to look up and I also started liking him.

Rain, ah, I love how her personality was made, it complements Dorian’s persona. As one of the lines in book said, “You were made for me.” That is not really the context, but it’s close.

I also love the way the Guardians interact with one another. How they pull each others S*** out but still be brothers and sisters. But what i really want to find out is how Vane and Brianne relationship would go… The added element in the books makes you read the series to know what will happen next.

The supersize just kept on coming though. What am I talking about? You need to read the book to know.

I’m down to Conn’s book…and i can’t wait to see what kind of mate he will have!
